Brown & Company CPA offers public policy insights, high-quality consulting and program support services

We work with state and local governments as well as not-for-profits to improve service quality and maximize community impact.

Owner's Representation
& Project Control

We help clients fully harness the development of large or complex building projects and the job growth and community benefits produced by such projects. We use a strategic, focused approach to control a building project’s scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.

Litigation Support
& Forensic Reviews

We provide expert witness or fact witness services supporting resolution of claim disputes, establishing accountability and financial responsibility, and maximizing the impact of public resources.

Budget Methods
& Best Practices

We help assure that the policies and priorities of a state or local government are embedded in their budget process and the formation of their baseline and supplemental budget recommendations. Best budgeting practices will lead to better service delivery, accountability and stakeholder buy in.

Cost Recovery
Programs

We guide cost recovery programs to maximize use of federal, state, and foundation grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements. Cost allocation plans and indirect cost rates can improve program performance for state agencies, cities, counties, school districts and non-profits.
